Introduction
The civil voluntary work in Palestine has a rich history, stems from the inherited goodness in the hearts, the values, the human and national principles stabled in their consciousness.
Volunteering reflects the national will, which stems from the determination of the people in the society, to rise, promote, progress, and take the initiative to face the social problems.
Therefore, the issue of social volunteering and its effectiveness and scope and the multiplicity of its forms, and the areas of its activity, are the basic criteria of the extent of maturity of the society and vitality.
Volunteer work forms the most important means used to promote the role of youth and their position in the social life, and the contribution in the advancement of the society status in various aspects of life, on the basis of partnership and capacity development, based on cultural enhancement, and adherence to national identity.
Volunteer work becomes increasingly important day after day, because of the complexity of life conditions and the increasing social needs.

“Hayat Association for development and voluntary work” was founded as a non-profit civil association, according to the Palestinian law of civil charities and bodies number (1) of the year 2000, and the decision of the Interior Minister No. 79 dated the 12th of August 2015.
The association was licensed and registered and its goals were accredited in the association department – Ministry of Interior- undr th number (RA-22887-S), as a civil, non-profit and independent association, with its headquarter in Ramallah and Al Bireh governorate, and the scope of its work is all Palestine, and its field of work is social service.
Our Vision:
Popularize and deepening the concept of volunteer work, and provides sustainable mechanisms to develop this concept in all fields, organize and enhance this concept between the various segments of the Palestinian society. And develop social, cultural and leadership capacity of young people.
Our Message:
Our association seeks through its effective efforts, to be able to make human and social development process, able to make qualitative and positive change, in the cultural and social structure of the individuals, and the whole Palestinian society, especially the young people of both genders, in addition to the creation of a new generation, who will be able to bridge the gaps between generations.
Our Goals:
The association aims to achieve the following goals:
1-Support and establish the concept of voluntary work among the youth segment.
2- Work on the development of the voluntary work within the Palestinian society.
3- Develop and build the capacity of young people.
The nucleus of association:
It is necessary for any good work to have a good nucleus, in order to make our message reach effectively as much targeted people as possible. The core of our association composed of young people, as they are the core element of serious and effective change in the Palestinian society. They are the basic and foundation in all societies, as they are collectively form the workforce and the strong core in building a civil, cultural, social and practical society.
